This suggests that she is the opposite of how she portrays herself publically. Palin lives in a very conservative state, and thus registered Republican in order to be elected as governor. This is why federal and state politicians often have astrological impulses that are different than their party affiliation, unlike average people outside of politics and local politicians whose elections are non partisan, so they don't have to resort to this.
